Young Community clinical case competition

We are delighted to share the announcement for an exciting new initiative we are preparing together with EHJ Case Reports: the AEPC Young Community Clinical Case Competition!

The aim of this competition is to promote education through real clinical cases and to encourage participation and collaboration among young cardiologists across Europe.

Who can participate

All AEPC junior members who will still be junior members in 2026 are eligible to take part, regardless of when they joined.

Competition timeline

  • Launch: 15 December 2025
  • Submission deadline: 15 March 2026
  • Final selection and webinar presentation: end of April 2026

How to submit

From 15 December, cases can be submitted by sending an email to the AEPC Office at office@aepc.org. Each clinical case must follow the official format and submission guidelines of EHJ Case Reports, which can be found here: https://academic.oup.com/ehjcr/pages/general_instructions

  • References (max 10)

Note: When taking part in this competition, your case should not yet be submitted to any (other) Journal for publication.

Evaluation process

All submitted cases will be evaluated by an expert jury, which will select the five best cases.
