AEPC TEACHING COURSES FOR TRAINEES

AEPC Mentorship programme

We are pleased to invite applications for the AEPC Mentorship Programme, a new initiative designed to support the development of AEPC young members through structured mentorship.

The mentorship could focus on professional, scientific, and/or educational aspects.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be AEPC Young Members in good standing throughout the period of mentorship (initial period: one year)
  • Commit to at least three mentorship meetings over one year
  • Submit a motivation letter together with an actual curriculum vitae (CV)
  • The motivation letter should specify the expectations of the trainee or main topic of interest.

Selection process

Applications will be evaluated using the following scoring grid:

  • AEPC registration year (priority given to more recent members): 0–3 points
  • Training level (residents, fellows, or ≤5 years post-training): 0–3 points
  • Documented interest in the field: 0–3 points
  • Scientific and/or educational activity: 0–2 points

Local approval

Formal approval from the applicant’s local supervisor is required.

This should confirm:

  • Institutional support for participation
  • Absence of conflict with the applicant’s current training programme

This approval can be provided in the form of a brief letter or email.

Application deadline

All applications must be submitted by 31 March 2026. Send your application by email to the AEPC office office@aepc.org.

We aim to complete the matching process before the AEPC 2026 Padua meeting, and possibly provide a space for face-to-face meetings there.

We strongly encourage our eligible young members to apply and take advantage of this opportunity for guided professional growth within the AEPC community.

Mentorship sessions at AEPC 2026

Following an initial, informal trial at AEPC 2025 Hamburg, we are happy to announce that 2 Mentorship sessions have been included as part of the scientific programme in Padua!

The two sessions will take place over lunchtime on Thursday 14 & Friday 15 May, and each session will include 4 small subgroups on different topics.

Space to participate in these sessions is limited! As we want to provide an intimate and safe environment for discussion & conversation, participation will be limited to 10 participants for each subgroup.

If you are attending the Padua meeting, and are looking for support, make sure to sign up for one of the sessions!
