AEPC 2026 - Young Investigator Award

As part of our continuing collaboration, the AEPC & JSPCCS each year offer the AEPC-JSPCCS Young Investigator Award (YIA).

3 top ranking abstracts submitted by Junior members of AEPC & JSPCCS are selected during the abstract review process, and are invited for presentation during the Young Investigator Award session. The winners are announced during the networking dinner.

All finalists from this session are invited to present their work at the YIA session during the JSPCCS Annual Meeting in Tokyo, Japan from 9-11 July (expenses covered), and the winner will receive an additional award of EUR 1,000.

AEPC winner: Lacramioara Eliza Chiperi (Romania) - A Biopsychosocial Model For Understanding Early Neurodevelopmental Vulnerability In Children With Congenital Heart Defects

JSPCCS winner: Tadashi Inoue (Japan) - Nationwide Observed Prevalence, Trends, And Future Projections Of Congenital Heart Disease In Japan: An 8-Year Registry-Based Population Analysis In A Declining-Birth Society
