AEPC TEACHING COURSES FOR TRAINEES

EchoCardioNorm

EchoCardioNorm is a website dedicated to Echocardiographic Normal Values, and will provide a unique and comprehensive calculator of normal echocardiographic reference values, including pediatric Z-scores, fetal Z-scores, and adult normal data, covering dimensional, functional, 3D, and strain parameters across all ages.”

Purpose

This website provides a comprehensive and structured collection of echocardiographic reference values across all age groups.

For the pediatric population, it includes:

  • Z-scores for major 2D and 3D dimensional parameters
  • Z-scores for functional parameters (including aortic and great vessel flow velocity, gradients, cardiac output, and STE ventricular myocardial work values)
  • Mean values for atrial and ventricular STE-derived strain parameters across different vendors
  • Percentile distributions for key mitral and tricuspid valve Power Doppler and Tissue Doppler parameters
  • FETAL Z-scores for major  2D dimensional fetal parameters are also provided

For the adult population, the platform provides:

  • Mean values and corresponding upper and lower limits of normality for a wide range of 2D and 3D dimensional parameters
  • Mean values and normal limits for mitral and tricuspid valve Power Doppler and Tissue Doppler parameters

All adult data are stratified by age, sex, and ethnicity.

Utility

The platform is designed to provide rapid and intuitive access to echocardiographic reference values.
