Organised by the AEPC Fetal cardiology working group
The AEPC Fetal Cardiology Working Group invites you to the AEPC Fetal Cardiology Teaching Course, which will take place from 15–17 October 2026 in Aachen, Germany.
This course will cover both fundamental and advanced aspects of fetal cardiology, including the diagnosis of congenital heart defects, intrauterine treatment options, counselling of parents, and perinatal management. It is designed for paediatric cardiologists in training or those aiming to specialize in fetal cardiology, as well as maternal–fetal medicine specialists and gynaecologists with a special interest in fetal medicine.
On the afternoon of 15th October, a hands-on training course in small groups, led by internationally recognised experts, will be offered. Participation in this session is limited to ensure optimal learning conditions.
The scientific programme will also feature recent advances in fetal cardiac MRI and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in fetal echocardiography.
Participants are warmly invited and encouraged to submit and present interesting clinical cases which will form the basis for interactive discussion during the course.
Cases can be presented both as an e-poster and as a quiz (Puzzle the Expert).
We would be delighted to welcome you to Aachen, located at the tri-border area of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and renowned for its beautiful historic old town and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aachen Cathedral.
